Augustana has five core values Christian faith, liberal arts, excellence, community and service. And Christian faith is the first of our core values. And it's a core value that is so very important to the mission of Augustana. Because Christian faith means that this is a place that is rooted in the way of Jesus. It's rooted in the Lutheran scholarly tradition. But Christian faith also means that even if you're not Christian, there's a place for you here. So when you come to Augustana, you will meet people of all different faith traditions, all different beliefs, and perspectives. Here at Augustana, we have a place called the Interfaith Reflection Room, which is a place where students of all faith traditions or non-religious traditions can come and can grow in their own faith. If they need a quiet place to pray, that's a place that they can do that. Or, it's a place that has a number of books on the shelves that you can browse and learn about a tradition that's different from your own. For students who are interested in getting involved in growing their faith at Augustana, we have everything from Bible studies to weekly worship nights to Catholic campus ministry to Better Together which is an interfaith organization, and then our staple weekly three chapel services. Augustine offers an opportunity to all seniors and that is the chance to give a senior sermon in our campus ministry, chapel worship services, and so I was super excited to talk about growing in my faith here. I've had kind of an integrative experience here. I've gotten super close with our campus pastor. And so through the opportunity of something like a senior sermon, you're able to reflect on that and share it with the Augustana community.
