Hi. My name is Gedion Alemayehu. I am an international student here at Augustana University. A typical day kicks off at 8 am. I go to my data analytics class. I love data science because I get to work was one of the most powerful tools in the world right now -- information. And then I head over to Starbucks to grab a hot coffee. The Starbucks is in the lower part of the Commons building. After I grab my coffee, I head up to the Commons the dining space to grab breakfast and catch up with friends. I like being involved on campus, so I am part of the Augustana Student Association, the student government we have here at Augustana. We organize events and we serve as a liaison between the student voice and the administration. Some days I like stopping by the International Programs Office. I'm really grateful for the International Programs Office because they've really been helpful for the international students here at Augustana to help us get a smooth transition from high school to college, and as well as our time here at Augustana. I end my day by clocking in, in the Writing Center. I recently joined the Writing Center as a tutor, I get to work with a group of phenomenal writers which keep pushing me to become a better writer and also help others to become one. That is a diverse place to work in for me as a tutor, and also for the students that come in for help.
