Hi. I'm Jonah Breuer. I'm an Exercise Science major here at Augustana University. And a typical day starts for me waking up at 7 am every morning. And I'll say, "Hi" to my 14 roommates. Yes, I said, 14, I live in a Cross Country House. And after saying good morning to all my teammates, I head over to the Froylan Science Complex where I studied exercise science. And it was great to just learn more about the exercise science field and how the human body functions and works together. And then after class, it's usually late morning or early afternoon, and I head over to the Morrison Commons for lunch. And depending on how much time I have, I either head upstairs and eat lunch with my teammates, or else I head downstairs to the Huddle which is like a little sandwich shop. So at three o'clock, I head over to the Elmen Center for cross country practice. So being a cross country and a track athlete, our training kind of varies on workout days, we spend a lot of time on track right outside of the Elmen Center. It's a 300-meter track, it's brand new as of 2019. As for cross country, majority of our runs take place just in the city of Sioux Falls. There are over 26 miles of trails and it's just another advantage of being here in Sioux Falls. So after the workout, I head on over to the Mikkelsen Library where I get some studying done. I love using the study rooms just because it's a little isolated area where you can close the door (it's soundproof), eliminate all distractions, and just solely focus on your class or whatever you need to put attention to. And after a long day of studying and schoolwork, I love to just get back to the Cross Country House. Say, "Hi" to the guys, talk about their day, and then head downstairs, and beat my roommate in the game a pool.
