A typical day for me at Augie, I wake up, my three roommates are on my basketball team. So I'll head downstairs, make some breakfast. Slowly, they'll start getting up. And then I head over to a few of my classes. The nice thing about living on campus in the Bolster Apartments is that they're right across from the Berlin Science Center, which is where all the nursing courses are. I chose nursing because Augustana has one of the best nursing programs in the state. So not only did it have a great basketball program, but it also has a great nursing program. Then typically, I already have my minor in Sign Language. So I'll head over to the lab and just kind of practice signing with few of the instructors just to kind of keep up my signing abilities. Then, I try and squeeze in throughout the day, a time when I can go shoot. We have practice in the afternoons but sometimes between classes, I like to head over there and find time to shoot alone, or maybe find a Coach Settle, be willing to rebound for me. And then from there, when it's nice outside, I like to go find a place on campus that's, you know, maybe a little shady and find a spot to do some homework. The nice thing about doing homework outside is that students are passing by and you always see someone that you know, and sometimes even see someone that can maybe help you with your homework. So you're constantly seeing people saying, "Hi," and it's just kind of more of an interactive, community interactive experience because we're all really close.
